SoB
Survey of Bangladesh is the national mapping and geodetic agency under the Ministry of Defence, with origins tracing back to the Bengal Survey of 1767. SoB is responsible for producing topographic maps, geodetic control networks, aerial photography, and digital spatial databases used by all government agencies. It manages the national map series at various scales and is progressively digitalizing Bangladesh's geospatial infrastructure. Cartographers, geodesists, GIS analysts, and photogrammetrists find core employment opportunities at SoB for both field survey and digital mapping work.
