Power Cell is a government regulatory agency under the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, established in 1995 to develop, coordinate, and monitor Bangladesh's power sector. Power Cell prepares energy sector master plans, monitors private sector power purchase agreements, and coordinates policy with Petrobangla and BPDB. Environmental specialists and GIS analysts at Power Cell support power plant site assessment, transmission line routing, and environmental impact review for new energy generation projects across Bangladesh.
