MPA
Mongla Port Authority manages Bangladesh's second major seaport at the confluence of the Pasur and Mongla Rivers adjacent to the Sundarbans mangrove. MPA conducts hydrographic surveys of tidal channels, manages dredging to maintain navigable depth, and monitors the environmental impact of port operations on the adjacent Ramsar-listed wetland. Environmental scientists and hydrographers at MPA work on tidal hydrology, sedimentation studies, and ecological impact assessment in one of Bangladesh's most sensitive coastal environments.
