IWM
The Institute of Water Modelling is a self-sustained, not-for-profit independent trust established by the Government of Bangladesh in 1996, evolving from the Surface Water Simulation Modelling Programme (SWMC) of 1986. IWM provides cutting-edge hydrodynamic modelling, remote sensing, and GIS services for water resource management, flood forecasting, coastal zone management, and delta planning in Bangladesh. It maintains state-of-the-art software platforms including MIKE FLOOD, MIKE HYDRO, and custom models of the entire Ganges-Brahmaputra-Meghna delta system. Hydrologists, coastal oceanographers, GIS analysts, and environmental scientists at IWM work on some of the world's most complex water modelling challenges.
